The tension in northern Israel is growing.

The Syrian’s and their allies Hezbollah have begun to warn Israel of pending attacks, just as Israel considers its security needs concerning the chemical and missile delivery systems provided by Russian and Iranian allies.

IDF Chief of General Staff Benny Gantz toured the Golan near the border with Syria Tuesday, and told lawmakers that tensions in the north could quickly devolve into war.

Other senior officials echoed his worries, with Home Front Defense Minister Gilad Erdan warning that it was only a matter of time before major Israeli cities started getting pounded by rockets.

The statements were made the day before a large Home Front Command drill scheduled for the Ashkelon region in the south of the country, which comes against the backdrop of increasingly harsh rhetoric on both sides of the border.

Gantz toured hours after the IDF shot at a Syrian position that had fired at a patrol during the night.

Apparently reporting on the same incident, the Syrian army on Tuesdayclaimed responsibility for firing on and destroying an Israeli vehicle along “with those in it.”

The Coming Hezbollah-Nusra War

The intricacies of alliances in the Syrian conflict are not articulated int he Western news media. Most people don’t have a clue about who is on whose side or why. This portends a very precarious situation militarily for Israel, who in fact find that all the warring factions have declared Israel their enemy.

What becomes apparent is that the Hezbollah-Iranian alliance with Syria also affects Israel’s borders with Syria in the Golan and with Lebanon where Hezbollah freely roams. In the hands of these fanatics run the gamut of Israel woes including chemical weapons, control of Scud missiles and launching platforms, backed by Russian suppliers.

Now the Syrian civil war looks like it is beginning a second stage of cousins against cousins, Islamic religious zealots against other religious zealots. READ MORE:

Lebanon will become al-Nusra’s alternative battlefield

The Syrian Salafist group Jabhat Al-Nusra declared in Jordan that it has set the confrontation with Hezbollah militants in Syria as a top priority. Jordan-based al-Qaeda-affiliate Mohammad Al Shalabi, alias Abi Sayyaf, said that Jabhat al-Nusra has taken a decision to fight Hezbollah militants, who have become “our Jihadists’ main target” across Syria.

This came after Hezbollah’s secretary general Hassan Nasrallah declared last week that Hezbollah will stand by Syria and help it become a state of resistance. He announced that Hezbollah is ready to receive any sort of qualitative weapons even if it is going to disrupt the regional balance.

For the Syrian rebels, al-Nusra and others, this is a declaration of war against them, knowing that what Nasrallah really means is that Hezbollah is now in charge of Syria, upon Iran’s decision. WAR! SYRIA, HEZBOLLAH, IRAN, Missiles, Chemical Weapons and a Common Denominator – Death to Israel

Make no mistake, the war that may engulf the Middle East is already in play–

Israel’s enemies are determined to take advantage of Israel without the support of a strong US President. Barack Hussein Obama is barely a blip on the Washington DC radar threat screen of “dire consequences” to Israel’s enemies if Syria or Iran cross a red line he moves to his convenience.

Now enmeshed in what everyone knew was a Benghazi cover-up beginning September 12, 2012, there is very little chance Israel can count on the United States to take any action outside of supplying weapons and material needed for Israel to sustain its military options.

A David in a Goliath junkyard of bullies every which way you can point your finger, all screaming “Death to Israel,” America’s most valuable ally is likely to “go it alone” just as they did on May 3rd in initial attacks against weapons depots linked to Hezbollah, Iran’s Republican Guards, and the Assad regime.

The double edged sword–making it imperative that Israel acts in a “preemptive” manner against these weapons which could reach Israel population centers via missiles and artillery in minutes–is that Assad is backed by the Iranian led and surrogate Hezbollah (Hizbullah) in both Syria and Lebanon dedicated to Israel’s destruction, while Iran itself continues it’s nuclear weapons program undeterred by the UN and world at large, and too shouting the destruction of Israel.

The other side of the sword is that the al-Qaeda and Jihadist led insurgency against the Syrian regime would also love to have access to chemical and biological weapons to use against Israel. The situation is a “no-win” for Israel unless they take action now.

Israel is within its rights, but also its duty, to protect it’s population. And, heaven forbid, the dissemination of weapons of mass destruction by terrorists groups from Syria to Europe and America, Israel as well as the United States must take decisive action now that proof is positive that Assad is using the weapons to destroy his own people.

Bottom line: Israel’s attacks against Syrian stockpiles of chemical weapons and Iranian supplied missiles will continue until the threat is eliminated. America will no doubt offer supplies and military aid, but nothing more.

Israeli intelligence officials reportedly confirmed that an explosion damaged Iran’s Fordow nuclear facility, which is being used to enrich uranium, The Sunday Times reported.

Israel intelligence confirms ‘major blast’ at Iran nuclear plant

Intelligence officials in Israel have confirmed reports of a “major explosion” that is believed to have severely damaged an Iranian nuclear enrichment facility, but refused comment on rumors that Israeli jets were seen flying nearby around the time of the blast. The blast was initially reported late on Sunday by Reza Kahlili, an Iranian former agent of the United States Central Intelligence Agency inside Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps. Citing Hamidreza Zakeri, a former officer in Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence and National Security, Kahlili said that the explosion severely damaged the nuclear enrichment plant in Fordo, centrally located in Iran’s Qom Province.

The radical Muslim Brotherhood doesn’t just threaten Israel and Mideast peace. According to the Egyptian press, several of its operatives have infiltrated the U.S. government and are influencing policy here. The respected Egyptian magazine Rose al-Youssef has identified at least six Brotherhood-tied agents of influence who have worked into positions inside the Obama administration.

Syria and Hezbollah won’t join the fight if Israel strikes Iran, top-level report predicts

The ability of Tehran’s proxies to forcefully respond to an Israeli attack on the Iranian nuclear facilities has dropped significantly in recent months, according to official assessments in Jerusalem.
