After Benjamin Netanyahu’s thoughtful and common sense speech at the UN one must pose that common sense is an uncommon virtue in the Middle East.  Mr. Netanyahu answered 60 years of Jewish State antagonists and complaints in a plea for direct negotiations and peace with the trump card the enemy states of Israel always have used; Palestinians.

The Palestinians have always had a friend in Israel and a hand reaching out even in the midst of thousands of rockets pouring down upon Israel in any given year from Palestinian, Hamas, and Hezbollah controlled territories. Since 1949 the cruelest enemy the Palestinians have known is Arab nation-leaders willing to create permanent suffering and refugee status in order to maintain sacred vitriolic arguments against the only democratic island of peace in the Middle East–Israel.

If Americans can find a Hawaiian Birth Certificate, Jerusalem Reports believes Mr. Netanyahu would win a friendly audience as a GOP contender for US President. The Israeli PM is masterful at logic, delivery, history, and political debate. Throw in an African relative, take the Jewish vote from the Dems, and we think Netanyahu wins the US election for President in 2012.
