US POLICY ON PREVENTATIVE MILITARY ACTION AGAINST IRAN
The following article is brought courtesy JERUSALEM CENTER FOR PUBLIC AFFAIRS:
U.S. Policy on Preventive Military Action Against Iran
Dore Gold
- During his March 4 AIPAC speech, President Barack Obama came closer than ever before to declaring that, should sanctions fail, he was prepared to use military force to stop Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. Did this mean that the Obama administration is indeed prepared to launch a preventive strike at Iran’s nuclear facilities in the future?
- If that is the case, this would represent a sharp break from the position of many of the critics of the 2003 Iraq War who rejected the legal right of the U.S. to undertake such attacks. They includedhighly respectedscholars like Harold Koh, the Dean of Yale Law School, who would become the legal adviser to the State Department under Obama.Koh wrote in the Stanford Law Review in 2003 that the Iraq War “was illegal under international law.” These legal questions from the Iraq War are likely to have an impact on how the Obama administration treats the Iranian issue.

IRAN SANCTIONS DEAD 3 DAYS LATER!
“Only in America” used to be how we complimented ourselves on innovations, strategies, growth and strength that worked. Now the list grows which show we are feckless at resolve, weak at follow through, shallow at vision. Iran has continued to defy the international community, the IAEA inspectors, the UN, and insists on destroying Israel, America, and having a nuclear weapon to achieve it. These are indisputable facts.
Iran has exported terror, attacked the US overseas for thirty years, hosted the 9-11 hijacker/murderers, and expanded its reach into Latin America to accomplish its announced (albeit insane) world-wide goals of an Islamic caliphate.
Sat. March 17, 2012 the world community imposed crippling financial sanctions, shutting off financial exchange; this meant to bring Iran to a negoiating position that would give the USA and Israel time to forstall a likely attack on nuclear facilities inside Iran capable of producing enriched uranian and “the bomb.”
Now Secretary of State Hillary Clinton exempts 11 nations from sanctions meaning Iran can sell it’s oil, exchange funds, and do “business as usual.”
Why do we even talk about being tough? Just sayin’… FOR COMPLETE NEWS LINKS ON IRAN NUKES, SANCTIONS, AND MORE SEE: “The Iran Section”

USA OIL RICH WITH BILLIONS BARRELS
FROM ‘HOT AIR.com’
USA: An oil rich nation after all
POSTED AT 8:05 AM ON MARCH 17, 2012 BY JAZZ SHAW
The President has been traveling on Campaign Tourapalooza 2012 this month and seeking to explain rising oil and gas prices. One of his favorite tag lines has been to say that you “can’t just drill your way to lower gas prices.” (And he’s partly correct there, but more on that later.) But he’s also tossing out another figure when he makes these remarks.
“With only 2% of the world’s oil reserves, we can’t just drill our way to lower gas prices,” he said. “Not when we consume 20% of the world’s oil.” So is that actually true?

DID WHITE HOUSE LEAK ISRAELI PLANS ON COVERT IRAN ACTIONS?
Former Ambassador to UN John Bolton reveals what amounts to possible Obama Administration back stabbing in this report from Fox News:
Bolton accuses administration of leaking story on Israeli planning along Iran border
Published March 29, 2012
| FoxNews.com
Former U.S. diplomat John Bolton alleged Thursday that the Obama administration leaked a story about covert Israeli activity in order to foil potential plans by the country to attack Iran’s nuclear program.
Bolton, who served as U.S. ambassador to the United Nations in the George W. Bush administration, was responding to an article in Foreign Policy magazine that quoted government sources claiming Israel had been granted access to airfields in Azerbaijan – along Iran’s northern border.

Jerusalem Undivided -- A Historical Perspective
Audrey Russo offers an excellent perspective on the facts surrounding Jewish historical rights to Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and debunking the mythical arguments of 20th century revisionism. Shared with permission:
Jerusalem Undivided: The Legal & Historical Argument (With A Bissel Evidence)
“Jerusalem symbolizes the reason and purpose for our lives here. It is the ‘why’ and ‘wherefore’ explaining why we are fighting. We will continue to do whatever we can to ensure that Jerusalem will forever remain the capital of Israel. And as the Prophet Isaiah said 2,700 years ago: ‘On your ramparts, O Jerusalem, I have placed guards all day and all night.’” –Lt. Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi, IDF Chief of Staff, Arutz Sheva, 11/8/07
And the argument continues…should Jerusalem, the Holy City, be divided. But the only entities insisting upon it’s division are either ignorant of its history…or those privy to that knowledge and prefer paltering over proof.
There is a plethora of evidence to prove that Jerusalem…

Iran Takes Off the Gloves
Michael Segall
- Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei’s speech on November 10, 2011, is viewed as a turning point in Iran’s strategy for dealing with threats, a transition from defense to offense. In addition, Defense Minister Ahmad Vahidi said: “We will not only continue to counter enemies’ threats, but we will also pose a sufficient threat to them.” Mohammad Bagheri, head of the Intelligence and Operations Division of the General Staff, said: “The Supreme Leader’s recent statement that from now on we reciprocate ‘threat for threat’ means a revision of the Iranian nation’s defense strategy.”
- Khamenei boasted: “We interfered in the events against Israel, which resulted in triumphs in the 33-day war [the Second Lebanon War of July-August 2006] and the 22-day war [Operation Cast Lead inGaza]…from now on, we will support and help any nation and any group everywhere, standing and fighting against the Zionist regime. And we are not afraid of saying that.”
- Khamenei implied that Iran no longer needs to hide behind proxies, instead acting directly against Israel, while also being prepared to assist (including with weaponry) any group that fights Israel. The immediate significance is that Iran – which accuses Israel of assassinating nuclear scientists on its territory – no longer fears to stand as Iran against Israeli and Jewish targets and even Western targets.
- The recent attacks on Israeli targets and interests in the world, most of which were foiled, manifest the change in the Iranian response strategy, currently being implemented by the intelligence and security agencies, primarily the Qods Force.
- Moreover, according to top U.S. intelligence officials and analysts, the plot to assassinate the Saudi ambassador to the United States shows that… READ MORE:

Understanding Saudi Islam-Wahhabism & Exporting to Libya
Islam confuses most Americans. We hear the term “Taliban” and determine “enemy” because of ongoing war in Afghanistan. We hear of “Shiites” and think “Iran” and consequently radical Islam due to the government’s radical political course defying international sanctions, talks of destroying the, “Great Satan and little Satan,” and so on, by Iran’s clergy-run leaders.
The “Sunnis” conger thoughts of Saddam Hussein and Iraq. We hear “Al-Qaeda” and we aren’t sure which brand of Islam just of Osama bin Ladin and the evil perpetrated on 9-11 upon the Western World in general as well as fellow Muslims who disagree. “Wahhabi” usually gets, “What’s that?”
More about the official Saudi link to an Islamic tradition is the article from The Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs:

DEFENDING US SOUTH COMMAND BUDGET - The Enemy at Our Gate

General Fraser Rightly Defends Southern Command’s Budget
By Wayne Simmons & Kerry Patton
Southern Command’s chief, Air Force General Douglas Fraser, had recently briefed the Senate Armed Services Committee on the growing threat of Iranian-backed terror networks in South America. His insight contradicts Director of National Intelligence James Clapper’s most recent national threat assessment, which failed to mention anything about Iranian proxies. Is the growing Iranian-South American alliance threat truly new, or was this briefing intended to secure USSOUTHCOM’s budget?
